Before YALC (ages ago, I know), I wrote a post about being in a bit of a reading slump, mainly a YA reading slump but I wasn’t feeling anything much really. Since YALC, I’ve been super energised to read anything and everything I can see. I’ve been reading a lot more and different things too. It’s been nice to jump into different genres and I’m enjoying just picking up whatever I feel like!
It was my third year at YALC this year, and my second year doing the full weekend. I always have such a fun time with my friends, being surrounded by books and meeting fab authors. With YALC this month, I should probably be reading my YALC tbr…but I hate the word ‘should’ and I’m really not feeling it! I still want to read all of the books on it, just not right now. To be honest, I’ve not read loads the past few months anyway, partially because I haven’t had chance as well as being in a bit of a slump. It’s just over a month until YALC now, which is no time whatsoever and naturally i’m having a huge panic about my TBR. As the author announcements were a little late this year, it’s been more of a panic than usual to get my reading in order and figure out what i want to read before the event. So after a couple of months, here’s how my TBR is going…

Summer Of No Regrets had been on my radar for a little bit of time prior to it’s release. During the summer, all i want to read is fun stories about friendship and enjoying life, and this seemed exactly what i wanted. Firefly were kind enough to send me a copy of Kate Mallinder’s new book for review, and i couldn’t be more grateful they brought this friendship group in to my life!
TBR piles are both a book blogger’s best friend and worst nightmare. Some people love having a TBR pile, some hate it and sometimes it just depends. I definitely fall into the just depends category as sometimes I love the structure of having a TBR for the near future but other times I feel constricted by it. Continue reading
