Abandoning my YALC TBR

Admittedly, i know i’ve not stopped banging on about my YALC TBR for a good three months now. Ever since authors started to be announced for the event, i took the time to really think about what i would need to read beforehand and what i would enjoy the most. It’s not even to have the most books signed, i just hate going to events where everyone’s read a book and you don’t have an opinion on it!

June 2018 Wrap-Up

YALC is getting closer and closer which means my reading is getting a little bit more panicked! I aimed to read quite a bit in June, but as it turned out i’ve had quite a busy life which involved two trips away. Admittedly not much reading got done on either of these, or at least not as much reading as i would have hoped (some book buying got done though, oops). However i have been enjoying reading from my YALC list and i’m back to Book Club reading after missing June’s meeting! Here’s what i read this month.

Reading Before YALC

chatI know Sarah has posted/tweeted a fair bit about YALC and the books she is reading in preparation but I haven’t really gotten as involved. I’ve been having a break from social media lately and I’ve barely been using it (my replies are shockingly late and I’m sorry!) so I haven’t really posted my YALC TBR or anything much to do with it. I picked up Needlework on a whim in the last few weeks, and the day after Deirdre Sullivan was actually announced as an author for YALC. Now that i had her book, i figured it would be a great place to start my YALC TBR for this year and got straight in to reading Needlework.
