The Burning by Laura Bates – Blogtober

Book Review Header

I picked up a copy of The Burning by Laura Bates a couple of months ago when it was first released. I really love the work that Laura does for feminism and i’ve flicked through her non-fiction books and really enjoyed them. I was very interested to see what her previous work would translate to in YA fiction.

My YALC Reading Slump

YALC HeaderWith YALC this month, I should probably be reading my YALC tbr…but I hate the word ‘should’ and I’m really not feeling it! I still want to read all of the books on it, just not right now. Admittedly not much reading got done on either of these, or at least not as much reading as i would have hoped (some book buying got done though, oops). However i have been enjoying reading from my YALC list and i’m back to Book Club reading after missing June’s meeting! Here’s what i read this month.
