At the end of October, me, Sarah and our friend, Louise, got tickets to a talk and signing with Markus Zusak at Waterstones Deansgate in Manchester. I was so excited because I adore The Book Thief and definitely see it as one of my favourite books. After a long 13 year wait (something he kept bringing up himself!) for his next book, it’s finally here! The event and signing was to celebrate his new novel, Bridge of Clay, which I’m currently reading. Continue reading
I am still finding it hard to process that i’ve actually met Becky and Adam. It felt like i’d been waiting years for this event, and honestly i was stunned that it happened at all. They’re such huge names in YA and even the world now after the success of Love, Simon and it was wonderful to hear them talk in Manchester.
My local Watersones have been hosting a YA Book Bloggers Event for a little while now. It has been hosted by the runners of the YA section of the store and we have met up three times now in total. Each time is a blast and a great way to meet and interact with local bloggers.
The hype for this event seemed to be massive on Twitter, and surely a lot of that came off the back of the success of The Loneliest Girl In The Universe, Lauren’s third YA novel. It’s been a long time since i updated on here about what’s going on in my life, what i’m reading and what my reading plans are. This could potentially be quite a long post, so make sure you grab a drink because this is going to be a CHAT.
Lauren James has had one of the biggest YA releases of 2017 with her latest novel The Loneliest Girl In The Universe. It was the biggest novel to come out of YALC this year with absolutely everyone talking about it. I decided to pick up my own copy and see what the fuss was about.
On the 4th of September i attended the Carrie Hope Fletcher All That She Can See signing in Manchester. I’ve been trying to attend a Carrie signing for a long time, as i’ve been quite a big fan of hers for a while and more recently (well, since she became an author), have completely fallen in love with her writing too.
