I really love hanging out with all the bloggers for a few hours and finding out whichever publisher that hosts us is doing at the moment. I set myself some reading goals for 2018, and admittedly i didn’t do all that good with them. Although i enjoyed the challenge, i think i set myself too many goals and it all became a little overwhelming to deal with. I got some of them done, and i’m pleased with that, but choosing later on in the year to not put as much focus on them felt really good.

The Story – Writers Choice or Readers Influence (Blogmas)

Recently, I’ve been attending many book events, writing a lot and having a lot of conversations about books and the choices that authors make vs what the reader truly wants. We all know that an author eventually can sneak in a relationship that everyone has been rooting for, and basically write that fanfic that everyone wants, however, is it really down to the reader to let the author know what they want to read? Or should readers accept stories as they were intended to be written?

October 2018 Book Haul

I knew October would be a little bit of a buying month. I had some days with bookish friends planned and some new bookshops in and out of the country to explore, so I knew I’d return with some exciting things.
