We’re on to the last few days of our Christmas read-along now, and to be honest, i’ll be sad when it finishes. We’re on the 11th story out of 12 today, which is Star of Bethlehem by Ally Carter. So far we’ve read some of the festive stories by David Levithan, Gayle Forman and many more acclaimed authors. It’s definitely got me a little more in to the Christmas stories, and without a doubt has made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
I hope the readalong is going really well for everyone! We are now halfway through and today is number 7 of 12 stories! You can still join, we are halfway through which just means if you read two short stories a day you can catch up in no time. Or you can read them out of order (the joy of books of short stories!) How are you all doing with the read-along? A few weeks ago we announced our Christmas read-along which started on the 14th of December. This year we’re reading My True Love Gave To Me edited by Stephanie Perkins, which is a festive short story collection of all your favourite YA authors. We’re reading a story a day for the next 12 days, so there’s plenty of time to join in or catch up!
Last year we did a Christmas read-along of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis, and we enjoyed it so much that we’ve set up a Christmas Read-Along for Christmas 2016! One of our favourite things over on this blog is to read books with our friends, getting different opinions and views as you’re reading something together. It also allows you to have so many people to talk about what you’re reading with. It’s definitely worth the time and effort!
