The Burning by Laura Bates – Blogtober

Book Review Header

I picked up a copy of The Burning by Laura Bates a couple of months ago when it was first released. I really love the work that Laura does for feminism and i’ve flicked through her non-fiction books and really enjoyed them. I was very interested to see what her previous work would translate to in YA fiction.

You by Caroline Kepnes

Book Review Header

I’ve actually had You on my shelf for a good few years now. I picked it up right when i started Uni (i think) as i found it cheap and liked the sound of it. As the years passed, i’d heard more and more mixed reviews that honestly put me off reading it. Then the announcement of the Netflix series came around, and well, i picked it up.

They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera

Book Review Header

They Both Die At The End was our book club pick for September 2019 – we really spread the joy with this one (and i’m incredibly late to uploading this review!). What If It’s Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera

I think What If It’s Us has been the most anticipated book of the year for so many people. It feels so strange that we’ve been waiting for this for so long and all of a sudden it’s out and released and we’re all able to read it. I picked up a copy of it when myself and Sophie were in Amsterdam a couple of weeks ago so i could get a head start (and also i much prefer the U.S. cover to the U.K.).

The Inexplicable Logic Of My Life by Benjamin Alire Saenz

Book Review Header

I don’t know how long i’ve waited to read another book by Benjamin Alire Saenz, but it’s been an incredibly long time. I feel in love with Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe when i first read it, and it’s still one of my favourite books today. When i heard about The Inexplicable Logic of My Life i knew i had to pick it up as soon as possible.

Alex Approximately by Jenn Bennett – Review

Book Review Header

I want to start off by saying that Alex Approximately was my most anticipated novel of 2017. Ever since her debut in 2015, i fell in love with her breezy writing style and fun characters that you could fall in love with whilst they fell in love. All of this added up meant that i definitely was excited for her second release.
