I’ve done this before where i’ve written up all my graphic novel reviews in to one burst of a blog post to save ten posts littering your feeds, just of graphic novels i’ve read. Get ready for another post exactly the same as the first with different books!

My Favorite Murder Book Tag
Hi everyone, it’s Lois from Lois Reads Books and I am here today on The Little Contemporary Corner with a book tag! Sophie and I both love the podcast My Favorite Murder and recently read the memior that the creators of the podcast wrote together and we loved it. So, we thought what better way to show our love for the podcast and the book by creating a My Favorite Murder book tag! Sophie and I spent a long time thinking of questions and then designing little headers for the question. I did the designing and Sophie did the thinking that’s really how it went down. If you love the podcast, are completely new to the podcast or just want a book tag to join in with, please feel free! Just tag us so that we can see your answers, we’d love to see other people doing this! Sophie will be doing this tag over on Lois Reads Books, so be sure to head over there and check it out!
So, without further ado, here is the My Favorite Murder Book Tag! Continue reading “My Favorite Murder Book Tag”
Recent Graphic Novel Reads – Blogtober
I’ve been reading a whole bunch of graphic novels at the moment, and also have a load of reviews to put up on the blog, so to save everyone’s time, i figured i’d merge some in to one. I’ve been storming through a couple of graphic novels that i’ve loved, so wanted to share those with you!
My So-Called Bollywood Life by Nisha Sharma (BEDM)
Hello all! It’s Blog Every Day in May (BEDM) and we are going to be joining the trend. However, slight difference – we may blog every other day in May as this crept up on us and we are both very busy eggs! Let’s see how we do though – I’m definitely making the effort to try and write as many posts this month as I can. I’ve been feeling pretty inspired to write recently which has been fab so I’m going to take advantage of that. Anyway! First BEDM post is a review of My So-Called Bollywood Life by Nisha Sharma, which is released in the UK tomorrow! Continue reading “My So-Called Bollywood Life by Nisha Sharma (BEDM)”
Proud Anthology (and Announcement)
The book discussed in this post was gifted from the publisher.
Last summer, Stripes announced their new anthology, curated by the absolute queen of YA fiction, Juno Dawson. We went to see their cover reveal at YALC last year for the anthology and that definitely got us even more excited for the release of Proud. Myself and Sophie are huge fans and supporters of Stripes. They have some wonderful books and authors under their belt, and i am always excited to see what they’re releasing next.
December 2018 Wrap-Up
I cannot believe we’ve reached December and i’m actually wrapping up the last month of the year. I’m pretty disappointed with how much reading i’ve done this month. Between going on holiday to Krakow and generally Christmas mania (also job hunting!) i’ve barely done any reading.
YALC 2017 – Summary
As you must know by now, YALC happened in the last weekend of July and is no officially over for 2017! I had such a wonderful time filled with wonderful people and more running than i’ve done all year. I managed to squeeze in near enough all the things i wanted to get done this year, so here is my weekend summed up!
