I’ve come to assume that because i’ve been having great reading months, a slump is just around the corner. I don’t think that the slump has hit yet, however my reading speed is slowing down again to a much more ‘normal’ pace for me. I’ve read some books that i’ve really loved in August though, so i’m happy for my pace to be continuing on at this speed. Continue reading
I was aiming to have a great reading month in May. The pressure of my YALC TBR staring at me every day is getting quite intense and i’m ready to get a lot of that knocked off my list. Admittedly, i started the month a little rocky in a bit of a reading slump, but i managed to pull it back and actually started to read pretty quickly towards the end of the month thanks to some of my new favourite books. Here’s what i managed to read in May.
In June i ended up having a really great reading month, i think that was definitely because YALC stress was setting in. At the start of July i was hopeful for another really great reading month as YALC was the last weekend of the month. Sadly it’s now been and gone (keep an eye out for the mass amount of YALC posts coming your way), but for now, here are the books that i managed to cram in before the end of the month.
I cannot believe we’ve reached the end of May! Doing monthly wrap-ups mean you realise how fast the time is going. I’m sure you know from my other blog posts and from Twitter that i’m in the midst of a YALC panic. I have so many books i want to read before YALC and i definitely don’t think i’ll get through them all. So for the next few months i’ll be solely reading books from authors who are attending YALC and i want to get to before the event. May was the start of that.
