Mental Health and Reading
This is probably the most personal post I’ve written yet but I’ve been struggling for a couple of years to balance work and leisure time and it’s mainly down to having depression and anxiety. Balancing different areas of my life is something I’ve been working on lately, and have been for a while, as I find it very difficult. I know very few people who can balance quite naturally their hobbies and work and other aspects of life and I just kind of wanted to have a chat about how my reading and writing specifically is affected by my own mental health. The Books That Changed My Life
Everyone has the books that changed their lives. Or at least, book lovers have books that have changed their lives. For many reasons people have important books. Books that you love just because you love them, a book that deeply effected you or a book that simply changed the way you think. I have a few books that have most definitely altered my life in some way. Here are the books that have changed my life.
A Little Life Update
I’ve always been the least active on the blog (thank goodness for Sarah) but at the very end of 2016 and early this year I had a huge dip in motivation – not just for the blog and reading, but in many areas of my life. I didn’t have the motivation to read or write anything to be honest. Once every so often I would have an hour or so of productivity but that seemed to be it and I would burn out soon after.
