I cannot believe we’ve reached the end of May! Doing monthly wrap-ups mean you realise how fast the time is going. I’m sure you know from my other blog posts and from Twitter that i’m in the midst of a YALC panic. I have so many books i want to read before YALC and i definitely don’t think i’ll get through them all. So for the next few months i’ll be solely reading books from authors who are attending YALC and i want to get to before the event. May was the start of that.

BEDM: Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han – Review
Jenny Han is one of my favourite YA contemporary authors and i absolutely devoured the first two books in her Lara-Jean trilogy. When Always and Forever, Lara Jean was announced, i was skeptical about ruining a good thing that she had going so far. I’m still unsure on that having now finished the trilogy.

New Release YA Novels I Won’t Be Reading
2017 feels like a massive year for YA books. There are a lot of books being released in the next few months that are very hyped and ones that already people are diving in to. However i’ve found a lot from the ‘upcoming releases’ list that i definitely will not be picking up this year, or even at all. Here are the books that i won’t be reading.
Christmas Read-Along Update 2
I hope the readalong is going really well for everyone! We are now halfway through and today is number 7 of 12 stories! You can still join, we are halfway through which just means if you read two short stories a day you can catch up in no time. Or you can read them out of order (the joy of books of short stories!) Sarah gave her thoughts on the first two stories a few days ago and I will briefly review what I think of stories 3 to 6! Continue reading “Christmas Read-Along Update 2”
Top 5 Non-Canon Ships
It’s Top 5 Wednesday day again! I don’t know where the weeks go because i’m always shocked when it’s time to put up my Wednesday post again! Well this weeks topic is top t non-canon ships. For those of you that don’t spend all your time on the internet, this means the couples that you ‘ship’ that are not actually together in the book. So it could be the main character and their best friend, instead of the main character and their boyfriend/girlfriend. You could even let your heart run wild and ship people from two different worlds or series. I usually stick to what’s written with the pairings that i like in novels, so i’ve had to rack my brains for this one!
Top 6 Fictional Boyfriends
I’ve been reading a lot of books lately where I’ve fallen slightly in love with the male characters. Let’s face it, most of the time fictional boyfriends are much better than actual real life boyfriends because they don’t require as much effort. It’s like we can love them up close without all the drama! Perfect! Now as a human being who likes both the male and female variety I will be following up this post at some point with a ‘top 6 fictional girlfriends,’ because we can’t really leave out how much I long for Katniss Everdeen can we? WHAT I’VE READ THIS SUMMER AND TBR!
Being a Uni student it means I have an extortionate amount of time off in the summer. Unlike the rest of my peers who spend these months having a social life, I become a hermit and read. This summer I’ve managed to read a total of nine books at the time of writing this. Continue reading “WHAT I’VE READ THIS SUMMER AND TBR!”
