I’ve been meaning to read Carrie for a long time, and after reading The Mist by Stephen King earlier this year, i wanted to try and improve my view on his writing (i wasn’t the biggest fan). Carrie seemed like a good place to start over for me as i absolutely adore the movie adaptations of this novel. I was hoping for something a little more from the book, and in that aspect i wasn’t disappointed.
Our Halloween Read-Along has started! This year we have chosen to read Carrie by Stephen King for our little read-along, which is basically another excuse for me and Sophie to get some books read that we’ve been meaning to read for a long time! The read-along this year is running from the 26th of October to the 6th of November, which is plenty of time to get such a short book read.
Last year we hosted a Halloween read-along of Miss Peregrines Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. We updated you on our progress throughout the holiday and it felt like the perfect book to be read when the world started getting a little more creepy and cold as we approached Halloween. This year, we will be doing the exact same!
It’s officially the last day of the Halloween read-along tomorrow! That means I’ve got left just a mere twenty-four hours to finish Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children! Am I going to do it? To be honest I’m not entirely sure. I’ve had a lot of Uni work in the last week and a lot of other things going on that I’ve not had much time to read! I need a full afternoon free so I can just lay in my bed and get my head stuck in the book! But I will definitely do my best to get it finished up before tomorrow night!

Over the last few days I’ve not had that much productive time to read. Hopefully this is going to change in the next few days, and I will definitely get it done for the deadline day! Because of this, not much has changed in the story since I last wrote a post a few days ago – but that doesn’t mean that I’m not enjoying what is happening at the moment.
