All That She Can See by Carrie Hope Fletcher

Book Review HeaderA few months ago, Sarah and I co-read All That She Can See by Carrie Hope Fletcher – we figured it would also be good to review it as well as use a recipe from it! We can tell you now that the Victoria sponge recipe is pretty damn great. The book needs a little more discussion however so dive in to see my thoughts on it.

Wonderland by Juno Dawson

Review HeaderI was recently gifted an early copy of Juno Dawson’s latest book, Wonderland, a fantastically extravagant take on Lewis Carroll’s classic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. I was so excited to read this book as I adored her book Clean and think Juno is a wonderful human being. Tomorrow is the UK publication day for Wonderland so you can easily get your hands on it! Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro

Review HeaderNever Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro has been one of my favourite books for many years now – the film is also a favourite of mine! It’s a story I think about fairly often and the three main characters have stayed with me, always feeling very real and unforgettable. I recently reread the book which I think is the third time I have read it now and wanted to give a review as I don’t think I have ever reviewed this novel before! The Million Pieces of Neena Gill by Emma Smith Barton

Book Review HeaderI picked the ARC of this book up at NYA Lit Fest in Preston. That was in March and I’ve been wanting to read it for a while now. I started reading it over a month ago I think but was super busy with my job at the time and had no spare time to read. I honestly really thought this book was great and I love that it covers such a taboo area in mental illness –  psychosis. Continue reading “The Million Pieces of Neena Gill by Emma Smith Barton”

After the Fire by Will Hill (BEDM)

Book Review HeaderI picked this up before NYALitFest as Will Hill was going to be there and I thought this book sounded really interesting and quite different. I’m morbidly fascinated by cults (I think most people who I’ve spoken to are) and this is all about a young girl who was in a cult dealing with life straight after a huge disaster. Leah On the Offbeat by Becky Albertalli (Blogmas)

Book Review Header

After reading Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda, I was both content and gutted because I loved it but also it was over! Me and Sarah both decided to take Leah On The Offbeat to Amsterdam on our trip away and it was the best decision! It’s a fun read and it was so lovely to be back into a familiar world full of characters I adore. Continue reading “Leah On the Offbeat by Becky Albertalli (Blogmas)”

On The Other Side by Carrie Hope Fletcher

Book Review Header

On The Other Side by Carrie Hope Fletcher was released just over a week ago. As soon as I picked up my preordered copy, I went in to the nearest coffee shop and started reading. I’m a huge fan of Carrie’s and whereas I wasn’t massively keen on All I Know Now (I’m just the wrong age I think) I wanted to give her fiction work a try. I cannot praise it enough.
