The time has come when i feel like everyone who wants to has read or seen Fantastic Beasts by J.K. Rowling. It has easily been one of the biggest movies of the year as we were thrust back in to the Wizarding World, something we have all be hoping for, for a long time. I managed to see the movie during the first weekend of its release, and i’ve recently just finished the screenplay. Here are my thoughts on both of them, what i liked and didn’t and what my hopes are for this world! (Contains spoilers).

I really did hope that my wrap-up in November would be a lot better, i thought with Christmas nearing (and our Christmas read-along) it would push me to get as much read as possible. In reality, i’ve been in a bit of a reading slump and have had a very unusually busy social life, leaving very little time to get stuck in to a book. The new Ghostbusters film was released on DVD and Blu-ray today (I got my pretty steelbook delivered, I’m very happy) so I think it is a good time to talk about film tie-in books. I’m using the term pretty loosely as I want to talk about a whole variety of them not just one type. I wanted to also talk about books like Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and the novelisation of the latest Star Wars film which are brilliant in their own way.

Every so often we like to do an update on upcoming film adaptations (look out for a TV one soon, its coming!) As someone who loves books and films, I love looking into what is going to be adapted!
