I had never heard of A Wrinkle in Time before it was announced that Ava DuVernay (amazing director and massive inspiration) would be directing the adaptation, working with Disney. I then found it’s quite a well-known book but I’m unsure if that’s more so in America than the UK. I was super excited about the film and figured I may as well read the book before watching it because it sounded like quite an interesting concept. I finished the book in February and got chance to watch the adaptation a couple of weeks ago. Here’s a little chatty review of both the book and the film!
As many of you will know, the release of the new live-action Beauty And The Beast movie starring Emma Watson was released last week. So much hype has been around this movie, and as i’ve seen it, i can say personally i found it to be the best live-action movie Disney have made. However, because there’s a lot of hype around the story now, many books have been released either with the original story or new versions, spin offs and whatever else you can imagine starring Belle. In honor of Sophie finally getting around to seeing the biggest Pixar movie of the summer, we’re doing the Inside Out Book Tag! If you have been living under a rock or in the middle of the rain forest for the whole of summer you wont know that Inside Out is a Disney Pixar movie based around five emotions, Fear, Anger, Joy, Disgust and Sadness. Everyone has each of these emotions living inside their heads and they control your mind. The story of Inside Out follows the emotions inside a little girl called Riley’s head, trying to figure out how to handle some of the more stressful times in her life.
