I’d heard a few things about this book just before the release, and being a big fan of David Levithan i found it hard not to pick up right away. It was the perfect mix of YA angst, LGBT power and summer contemporary fluffy.

I was in need of a fairly quick read to get in to before the Halloween Read-Along this year, so I picked up Marly’s Ghost by David Levithan. Considering I am quite a big Levithan fan, I feel like I’ve not read as many of his books as I should have done. I own almost all of them but they’re all sitting on my shelf waiting to be read. Diving in to a short one seemed like a good idea even though the valentines theme was incredibly out of season in October!
October my first month back at University full time, as a result my third year work has started to pile up! This has sadly meant that I haven’t had much time to read for pleasure (text books definitely do NOT count even if you love your subject.) That being said I’ve managed to get through quite a few of books that I wanted to get to this month and managed to read 5 in total before our Halloween Read-Along started!
In the month of August I got my bum in gear with reading – having finally realised that my summer is ending and I won’t have much time to read next year! Being a Uni student it means I have an extortionate amount of time off in the summer. Unlike the rest of my peers who spend these months having a social life, I become a hermit and read. Another Day by David Levithan was probably my most anticipated book of 2015. Whereas I can say that I enjoyed Another Day, it in no way made as big of an impression on me as Every Day did.
I’ve seen so much dedication from everyone taking part, determined to read as much as they could and achieve those seven goals set! It’s been an amazing thing to be a part of on YouTube and Twitter and i’ve spoken to so many people about books it’s been a little overwhelming! However, I sadly haven’t been as dedicated due to a very busy schedule (meeting with fellow team member Sophie to gossip.) Hope was not lost and here is my BookTubeAThon wrap up for 2015!
