Over the past few months, I’ve found myself falling into a new interest in the form of Studytube. I’ve shocked myself as I’ve never been someone who subscribes to YouTubers or even watches them regularly. I watch a few Booktube videos every now and then but I’m not great at keeping up with them and it’s not very often I watch them as they are posted. Finding Studytube has been a slight revelation for me and has inspired me greatly learn new things and discovering new projects to work on. Continue reading “Studytube Appreciation”
Everyones talking about it, and it’s really difficult not to talk about lock down at the moment. Firstly, i hope everyone is safe and well, and your families and friends are safe and well. It’s scary and new times, with a lot of struggles for many people. I won’t be posting about this regularly, due to the fact i know blogging is an escape for most people, but there are a few things i wanted to talk about.
For me, reading goals are quite flexible and I change them throughout the year. I start with a few intentions at the start of each year however I don’t always stick to these and I change them depending on how I’m feeling and what I’m doing at that point. Happy book haul! I’ve been on a little bit of a buying ban for a while – i say a while, i really mean it’s been about six weeks – and i’m back with another haul, a haul that definitely shouldn’t have been a haul. I was determined to not buy books, read from my back list and be really good at the moment. That hasn’t happened and i’m back in a tricky place with my TBR and the fact that it’s huge.

I have constant faith in Usbourne books. They’re fantastic, inclusive and usually just an absolute dream to read. When i heard about Nothing Ever Happens Here, I knew it would be something i absolutely loved and wanted to share with you all.
Recently I’ve been reading quite different books to what I usually pick up. The last few years I’ve mostly read contemporary YA fiction novels but so far this year I’ve been diving into adult and non-fiction books as well as stories set a few decades ago as opposed to recent years. I’m enjoying it very much and I’m loving reading a variety of books! One of my intentions this year was to read whatever I want and jump out of my usual habits and I’m so glad I have. Over the past year I’ve gotten really into podcasts, something I never thought I’d be a fan of but I’ve found quite a few that I love. I’ve uploaded a few posts about these and will continue to upload many more as I’m always finding new ones to enjoy and that I want to shout about. A few months ago, I came across a brilliant podcast named Best Girl Grip focused on women working in the British film industry which is something I’m just starting out in!
