Last week, I ordered myself a Nintendo Switch with the game Animal Crossing New Horizons and of course I love it! I knew I would since I played Animal Crossing Wild World when I was much younger and adored it. I saw a few people posting this tag on Twitter in the last few weeks and decided to seek it out and give it a go myself! I love book tags and Animal Crossing so what could be better?
This tag was created by Angharad and Becky at Two Book Thieves. You can find the original post with their answers here. Continue reading “Animal Crossing New Horizons Book Tag”

Hello lovely people! Today is a very hot day in Manchester (a true rarity) and I’m lucky enough to have a garden so I can sit out in the sun to read and write. We set up an Instagram for our blog around 18 months ago now and I am truly so glad we did. I personally really like Instagram the most out of all the social media platforms out there. I find it to be the most positive, which is heavily down to who you choose to follow, and I enjoy that is is so visual. I’ve been thinking a bit about bookstagram lately and wanted to write my thoughts down. Continue reading “My Relationship with Bookstagram”
I know we have both uploaded our TBRs for the Shelf Help Readathon today and you’ve probably read a similar line to this in Sarah’s post but in case you missed it, we are co-hosting a readathon with our pals Jaz and Sharn! I know we helped create it but I really love it and I’m so excited to start. Read on for a reminder of the details and to see what my reading intentions are for the readathon! We’ve had a makeover! The blog, not us – we look very much the same. Our amazing best friend Lois from LoisReadsBooks has designed us a whole new look that we absolutely adore! Continue reading “Our New Design!”
Hi everyone, it’s Lois from Lois Reads Books and I am here today on The Little Contemporary Corner with a book tag! Sophie and I both love the podcast My Favorite Murder and recently read the memior that the creators of the podcast wrote together and we loved it. So, we thought what better way to show our love for the podcast and the book by creating a My Favorite Murder book tag! Sophie and I spent a long time thinking of questions and then designing little headers for the question. I did the designing and Sophie did the thinking that’s really how it went down. If you love the podcast, are completely new to the podcast or just want a book tag to join in with, please feel free! Just tag us so that we can see your answers, we’d love to see other people doing this! Sophie will be doing this tag over on Lois Reads Books, so be sure to head over there and check it out!
So, without further ado, here is the My Favorite Murder Book Tag! Continue reading “My Favorite Murder Book Tag”
For me, reading goals are quite flexible and I change them throughout the year. I start with a few intentions at the start of each year however I don’t always stick to these and I change them depending on how I’m feeling and what I’m doing at that point. I thought I’d write a little update (mainly for myself as a little bookish check-in) to see what may have changed and how I’m feeling about my 2020 reads so far.
