Amsterdam – The Bookshop Series (Blogmas)

Myself and Sophie recently took a trip to Amsterdam together, which was one of the most fun trips i’ve ever been on! I completely fell in love with the city and i actually started looking pretty hard for reasons and ways to move there. On top of everything else we did in the city, we obviously wanted to check out some of the book shops there and see what we could find!

November Book Haul (Blogmas)

I made a promise to myself that i wouldn’t buy any more books until Christmas unless it was an important release. Similar to the rest of the starts of these posts, i’ve completely failed that, so here’s another book haul!

October 2018 Book Haul

I knew October would be a little bit of a buying month. I had some days with bookish friends planned and some new bookshops in and out of the country to explore, so I knew I’d return with some exciting things. The month started with Bookshop Day and ended with some exciting author events, a perfect excuse to make a few book purchases.

London Book Haul

I said some time ago that i was aiming to be on a book buying ban for a while. YALC is a very big book buying experience, so i wanted to avoid buying books for a few months while i had chance to catch up on some reading. That clearly did not happen. I’d had this tripped to London planned for months, Hamilton was the main reason that i went, but my partner had never been in a Foyles or explored the book shops of London. So naturally we went to do just that.

The Book Shop Holiday – The Book Shop Series

I’ve not talked about it a great deal on the blog, but for about a year, myself and my dad had been planning to take a trip to the England/Wales boarder to visit Hereford. We’d heard a  lot about Hereford, or more importantly Hay-On-Wye. Hay-On-Wye is famous for having the U.K’s largest concentration of independent bookshops within about five streets of each other. Obviously for a father-daughter trio obsessed with books, it seemed like the perfect trip.

The Book Shop Series – Barter Books, Alnwick

I wanted to start a new series on here, an on going one that allows me to talk about wonderful bookshops that i’ve had the pleasure of visiting. I talk about them regularly anyway, so i might as well make it a thing. A few weeks ago now i took a trip to see my friend in Newcastle for a few days. This tends to happen every year now, in summer i visit her so we can have a beach day, wander around the city and do plenty of charity shop shopping. I absolutely adore this time away every year and it honestly feels like a holiday every time i go. This year i wanted to do a few different things.

June 2018 Book Haul

It’s been a very long time since i’ve done a book haul on the blog. I put myself on a book buying ban (except for holidays) a few months back, and it seems to be working quite well. Admittedly there were a few months i just haven’t felt like doing a book haul – they become very same-y and i get bored of writing them to be honest. This month i took a trip up to Newcastle to see one of my friends and fellow bloggers, and not only did i have the best time, i also went and did a lot of book shopping.
