I was ridculously excited when the new release by Laura Steven dropped through my door a couple of weeks ago. It was posed to me as a gay rom-com, that was full of fun. I admittedly haven’t finished one of Laura’s books before, not due to a dislike, it’s just not something i’ve ever felt was completely in the genre of what i liked. The Love Hypothesis changed that completely for me.

Paper Avalanche by Lisa Williamson – Blog Tour

We haven’t done a ton of blog tours recently but this one jumped out because I’ve been wanting to read Paper Avalanche for quite a while. Sarah loves it and told me I would definitely like it and she was very right! This is the first book of Lisa Williamson’s I’ve read (not including her sections in Floored) and the story was fantastic. Bridge of Clay by Markus Zusak – Blogtober

Book Review HeaderIt took me months but I finally finished Markus Zusak’s latest novel, Bridge of Clay a while back now. I loved The Book Thief when I read this a few years back so when I heard he was bringing this out, plus doing an event in Manchester I was really excited. We wrote a post on the event here. The Burning by Laura Bates – Blogtober

I picked up a copy of The Burning by Laura Bates a couple of months ago when it was first released. I really love the work that Laura does for feminism and i’ve flicked through her non-fiction books and really enjoyed them. I was very interested to see what her previous work would translate to in YA fiction.
