I was ridculously excited when the new release by Laura Steven dropped through my door a couple of weeks ago. It was posed to me as a gay rom-com, that was full of fun. I admittedly haven’t finished one of Laura’s books before, not due to a dislike, it’s just not something i’ve ever felt was completely in the genre of what i liked. The Love Hypothesis changed that completely for me.

We haven’t done a ton of blog tours recently but this one jumped out because I’ve been wanting to read Paper Avalanche for quite a while. Sarah loves it and told me I would definitely like it and she was very right! This is the first book of Lisa Williamson’s I’ve read (not including her sections in Floored) and the story was fantastic. I was lucky enough to be gifted this book – read on for details and all of my thoughts! Continue reading “Paper Avalanche by Lisa Williamson – Blog Tour”

I loved The Book Thief when I read this a few years back so when I heard he was bringing this out, plus doing an event in Manchester I was really excited. We wrote a post on the event here. It was a brilliant time and I’m happy to say I loved this new book. Continue reading “Bridge of Clay by Markus Zusak – Blogtober”
We read Heartstopper: Volume Two for our August LGBTQ+ Book Club read and I absolutely adored it! I’ve not actually written my own review of either volume and I figured I should because I will shout from the rooftops about how pure and cute and wholesome they are! You know when you go through a little bit of a blog slump? We’ve all been there when we don’t know what to write, and if we do know what to write, it’s just not coming out and on to a page.

I picked up a copy of The Burning by Laura Bates a couple of months ago when it was first released. I really love the work that Laura does for feminism and i’ve flicked through her non-fiction books and really enjoyed them. I was very interested to see what her previous work would translate to in YA fiction.
