October 2018 Book Haul

I knew October would be a little bit of a buying month. I had some days with bookish friends planned and some new bookshops in and out of the country to explore, so I knew I’d return with some exciting things. The month started with Bookshop Day and ended with some exciting author events, a perfect excuse to make a few book purchases.

London Book Haul

I said some time ago that i was aiming to be on a book buying ban for a while. YALC is a very big book buying experience, so i wanted to avoid buying books for a few months while i had chance to catch up on some reading. That clearly did not happen. I’d had this tripped to London planned for months, Hamilton was the main reason that i went, but my partner had never been in a Foyles or explored the book shops of London. So naturally we went to do just that.

YALC Haul 2018

YALC is over, my weekend wrap-up is done and it’s time for the book haul (aka, the part that i know we’re most excited for). I had the goal this year of not getting that many books, and specifically only picking up books that i was excited for or had been on my list for quite some time. I can happily say that i stuck to one of those promises.

June 2018 Book Haul

It’s been a very long time since i’ve done a book haul on the blog. I put myself on a book buying ban (except for holidays) a few months back, and it seems to be working quite well. Admittedly there were a few months i just haven’t felt like doing a book haul – they become very same-y and i get bored of writing them to be honest. This month i took a trip up to Newcastle to see one of my friends and fellow bloggers, and not only did i have the best time, i also went and did a lot of book shopping.
