Happy book haul! I’ve been on a little bit of a buying ban for a while – i say a while, i really mean it’s been about six weeks – and i’m back with another haul, a haul that definitely shouldn’t have been a haul. I was determined to not buy books, read from my back list and be really good at the moment. That hasn’t happened and i’m back in a tricky place with my TBR and the fact that it’s huge.
There are a ton of reasons to instantly pick up a book or things that attract you to one over another. It might be broad things like genre or particular authors but there are also little things that are ridiculously specific and niche! So, i’ve realised that i might have a little bit of a book buying problem. I’ve identified it, admitted it and now i’m working to change it. I have developed some unhealthy habits you might say in the last few years, and i want to talk about that a little bit.
I thought I’d do a bit of a post about my feelings on the kind of books I want to read this year as well as a bit of a haul. I’ve never actually done a book haul (yes, this is clearly Sophie, not Sarah!) so this is kind of my first one! I received so many books as gifts for Christmas and bought quite a few myself in December so I figured it would be a good idea to showcase them a little. Continue reading
I’ve talked a lot about buying second hand books on this blog already. I’ve never been shy about telling you all that most of my books (or a great chunk of them) come from charity shops and second hand in other ways. There are so many reasons why buying second hand is a good thing!
