Reads Too Close To Home (Blogmas)

chatI’ve been thinking a lot recently about what stories I want to read because I’ve been in a bit of a slump in terms of reading/watching films/anything! I just can’t settle on what I want to consume. I’ve also stopped reading or watching a few things I enjoy because the themes or stories are too close to home for me. If they feel too real to me, in terms of something I’ve felt or been through before, I’ve had to put it down and stop. Continue reading

Lessons We Could Learn From Ramona Blue (Blogmas)

It’s been a very long time since we’ve added to this series, but when it first started a few years back, i adored writing for it. The idea is to write a list of lessons that you have learnt from a character, one that’s stood out to you and taught you lessons in the good or bad. I’ve done Blogmas a few times now, and i always really enjoy posting every day on the run up to Christmas. It’s such a good excuse to get in the festive spirit, talk about Christmas, books, and Christmassy books. Also, the feedback that you get on the blog over Blogmas is excellent, i really love how much interaction everyone gets during December!

The Crimes Of Grindelwald – Movie Chat

There has been a lot of talk about this movie in the last few months, mostly bad, but some good. It hindered my thoughts of the movie going in to it, and honestly i had a bad taste in my mouth before i even stepped in to the cinema screen. But i wanted to try it out.

Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera Interview

32357878781_c3c8e59425_bAt the end of October, we got the amazing opportunity to interview Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera before their event about their co-written novel, What If It’s Us. It was such a brilliant day and I loved being surrounded by others who love their stories. I feel so lucky that we got the chance to do this as they have both written stories that I completely adore so it was lovely to be able to chat to them about their joint one! Keep reading for the interview (by two best friends, for two best friends – wholesome!) Continue reading
