A Chat about The Perks of Being a Wallflower (BEDM)

I’ve been rereading The Perks of Being a Wallflower for this months book club (Thursday 30th May – come along if you wish!) and I’ve been really enjoying reading it for the third time. It’s different reading it now compared to when I first read it in my teens and then later at maybe 20. I’m now 24 and I still really appreciate it a lot. Continue reading

Dumplin’ Film Chat (BEDM)

Now, I haven’t actually read Dumplin’ but I watched the film on Netflix the other day and I absolutely loved it. A lot of people have recommended me both the book and the film adaptation but I just never fully fancied it. I wasn’t sure if I’d be a fan. However, I’m now right on the hype (better late than never). Continue reading

To Be Read or not To Be Read… (BEDM)

chatTBR piles are both a book blogger’s best friend and worst nightmare. Some people love having a TBR pile, some hate it and sometimes it just depends. I definitely fall into the just depends category as sometimes I love the structure of having a TBR for the near future but other times I feel constricted by it. Continue reading

Podcast Series: #WizardTeam (BEDM)

With my long commutes to work, I’ve been reading a lot more but also listening to more podcasts. AGES ago I did a post called Podcast Series where I planned to start talking about podcasts I enjoy; bookish or other. I didn’t follow through but I’m back with it again now! I’ve struggled to know when I am best listening to podcasts and I’ve now cracked it and it’s best when I’m travelling or walking. This post is about one of my current favourites! Continue reading

After the Fire by Will Hill (BEDM)

32327972682_0c6dc7959d_bI picked this up before NYALitFest as Will Hill was going to be there and I thought this book sounded really interesting and quite different. I’m morbidly fascinated by cults (I think most people who I’ve spoken to are) and this is all about a young girl who was in a cult dealing with life straight after a huge disaster. Continue reading

Personal Update (BEDM)

chatLook at us, keeping up with BEDM – honestly pretty happy considering we are so not chill about how this crept up on us! Today, I’ve decided to post a quick personal update about what I’ve been doing recently, how I am and just generally things going on. I’ve had a pretty busy year so far, full of great things and a couple of challenges too. Read on if you fancy! Continue reading

My So-Called Bollywood Life by Nisha Sharma (BEDM)

32327972682_0c6dc7959d_bHello all! It’s Blog Every Day in May (BEDM) and we are going to be joining the trend. However, slight difference – we may blog every other day in May as this crept up on us and we are both very busy eggs! Let’s see how we do though – I’m definitely making the effort to try and write as many posts this month as I can. I’ve been feeling pretty inspired to write recently which has been fab so I’m going to take advantage of that. Anyway! First BEDM post is a review of My So-Called Bollywood Life by Nisha Sharma, which is released in the UK tomorrow!  Continue reading
