*Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book. Sarah Crossan has been one of my auto-buy authors for the last four years or so now. I love her work, whether that’s verse written or not. I’ve had the chance to review a couple of her books before, but as Here Is The Beehive is her first adult novel, this felt like something a little more special.
[This book was gifted by Harper 360 – Released 21st January 2020]
Not So Pure and Simple is a book that i was really excited about being released in 2020. I’ve had a proof copy for a couple of months and finally got around to reading it before its release, i read it, i absolutely loved it.
It was my third year at YALC this year, and my second year doing the full weekend. I always have such a fun time with my friends, being surrounded by books and meeting fab authors. I picked the ARC of this book up at NYA Lit Fest in Preston. That was in March and I’ve been wanting to read it for a while now. I started reading it over a month ago I think but was super busy with my job at the time and had no spare time to read. I honestly really thought this book was great and I love that it covers such a taboo area in mental illness – psychosis. Continue reading “The Million Pieces of Neena Gill by Emma Smith Barton”→
Hello all! It’s Blog Every Day in May (BEDM) and we are going to be joining the trend. However, slight difference – we may blog every other day in May as this crept up on us and we are both very busy eggs! Let’s see how we do though – I’m definitely making the effort to try and write as many posts this month as I can. I’ve been feeling pretty inspired to write recently which has been fab so I’m going to take advantage of that. Anyway! First BEDM post is a review of My So-Called Bollywood Life by Nisha Sharma, which is released in the UK tomorrow! Continue reading “My So-Called Bollywood Life by Nisha Sharma (BEDM)”→
This book was released a couple of days ago and Sarah was lucky enough to get an ARC at YALC! I started it earlier in the week after being stuck in a reading slump for a while, and I think it’s exactly what I needed!
