We’ve teamed up with two of our pals to bring you the Shelf Help Readathon this May! As we’re all stuck in doors and starting at the books that we still haven’t read more, the Shelf Help Readathon is here to help you tackle those old TBR piles!
It’s about time for a bit of housekeeping on the blog! It’s been a little bit of time since i’ve written a general post about book club and the updates that we have made. I have a couple of book club related announcements to share!
Last week the first set of YALC authors were announced, which means my YALC TBR has officially started to take place. I wrote a post about the books that were now on my YALC TBR last week that you can see HERE if you want to know what i’ll be reading until July.
The day finally came where we started to get announcements for the YALC guests this year. It’s always my favourite time of the reading year when we get some information of what books to be reading before the event in July.
We’ve held quite a few read-along’s on this blog so far, Christmas, Halloween and ones just for fun. They’re an excuse for me and Sophie to read something together more than anything and get chance to talk about a book when we’re on exactly the same page. Especially with our last few, more and more people have joined in, and we have another one for you right now.
I’ve talked a lot about buying second hand books on this blog already. I’ve never been shy about telling you all that most of my books (or a great chunk of them) come from charity shops and second hand in other ways. There are so many reasons why buying second hand is a good thing!
By now you must know that we are the hosts of the LGBTQ+ book club! We started this back in March and have chosen some LGBTQ+ picks for the whole of 2017 for you to get involved with reading. Every two months we have a new book for you to read-along with us.
