It’s nice to reach the end of the year and try and focus on the positives as much as possible. I always love looking back at books I’ve read, films and TV shows I’ve watched and new hobbies/interests I may have picked up. It’s always really fun to remember what new things you’ve discovered and connected with throughout the year!
Last year i was an extremely bad blogger and missed out on the whole ‘my favourite books of the year’ in December thing. It’s something that i still think about missing a lot, so i wanted to make sure that i did on this year to share the best books that i read in 2018.
Alice Oseman has always been an author on my radar, but i’ve only really got involved with her novels and other works in the last year or so. I put a tweet out quite some time ago now, asking for comic or graphic novel recommendations, and someone told me about Heartstopper.
Last week we had the incredible opportunity to interview Alice Oseman about her new book, I Was Born For This. The book covers friendship, family, fandom and all things band related. I absolutely adored it, i cannot talk about it enough. If you want to know more about my thoughts HERE is my review. This post is a transcription of our Alice Oseman interview and the questions we asked.
I Was Born for This is my first novel by Alice Oseman that I’ve read, and I absolutely adored it. I’ve heard countless incredible things about this story, and I found not knowing anything about this story going in to it was the best thing to do. I was surprised about how much I loved it, how much it lifted me from a reading slump and how happy i felt reading it.
