I’ve been very excited by Dolly Alderton’s debut novel, Ghosts since I heard about it’s release early in 2020. Honestly, it was the cover that drew me in and not much else. I love the art work and knew it was fiction about dating, and that pretty much sold me.

Sarah Crossan has been one of my auto-buy authors for the last four years or so now. I love her work, whether that’s verse written or not. I’ve had the chance to review a couple of her books before, but as Here Is The Beehive is her first adult novel, this felt like something a little more special.
I was recently gifted an early copy of Juno Dawson’s latest book, Wonderland, a fantastically extravagant take on Lewis Carroll’s classic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. I was ridculously excited when the new release by Laura Steven dropped through my door a couple of weeks ago. It was posed to me as a gay rom-com, that was full of fun. I admittedly haven’t finished one of Laura’s books before, not due to a dislike, it’s just not something i’ve ever felt was completely in the genre of what i liked. The Love Hypothesis changed that completely for me.

When i got the email about Last Lesson by debut author, James Goodhand, i felt like the description pulled me in instantly. It contained a lot of my buzzwords and i was so excited to get my hands on a copy of it, to explore the world of mental health in teenagers.
