I had been so excited when i saw Stay Gold appear in my mail a few months ago. It’s own voice written and about a trangender boy moving school and having to deal with the struggle of choosing to out himself or keep trying to pass with no-one knowing.

As you might know from my previous blog post, i’ve been really in to rom-com’s and contemporary novels at the moment. Light and easy reads that make your heart happy. I decided amongst that thought to pick up the newly released 10 Blind Dates by Ashley Elston. A festive read full of promising contemporary cute moments.
It felt like everyone in the world was talking about Turtles All The Way Down before it’s very dramatic release recently. Without a doubt, it was one of the biggest things to happen in YA in the last few months, and everyone seemed to be picking it up as soon as it hit the shelves.
I want to start off by saying that Alex Approximately was my most anticipated novel of 2017. Ever since her debut in 2015, i fell in love with her breezy writing style and fun characters that you could fall in love with whilst they fell in love. All of this added up meant that i definitely was excited for her second release.

I picked up The Girl In Between knowing absolutely nothing about it except that Sarah Carroll was one of the authors who had been announced for YALC. The premise sounded interesting so i thought i’d give it a go.
