It was my third year at YALC this year, and my second year doing the full weekend. I always have such a fun time with my friends, being surrounded by books and meeting fab authors. I wanted to write an honest post about my YALC experience this year which was wonderful fun with just a couple of issues. Continue reading
With YALC this month, I should probably be reading my YALC tbr…but I hate the word ‘should’ and I’m really not feeling it! I still want to read all of the books on it, just not right now. To be honest, I’ve not read loads the past few months anyway, partially because I haven’t had chance as well as being in a bit of a slump. I wanted to get my feelings out about all this because I feel kind of bad about it even though there’s no reason to! Continue reading
Earlier this month, Sarah posted her YALC 2019 TBR and I’ve been meaning to fully go through all the authors and decide what I want to take with me and what I want to read prior to it. There’s some amazing authors attending and I was so happy when I read the announcements! Continue reading
I’ve already written a pretty brief post about the YALC announcements in general and what i think of them this year. You can see that HERE if you’re interested, but i’ve not talked about authors i’m exciting about or books that i want to read before YALC this year.
It’s been a big build up to YALC announcements this year. Their usual system of announcing week by week didn’t happen, so we (very stressfully) got all the authors all in one go. I really enjoyed this way of going it, even if my anxiety was at an all time high all day!
Long time no see! I’ve had a ridiculously busy few weeks – straight after YALC weekend I had three days of interning, work and then a five day trip to the Peak District! Though busy, it has been a brilliant time spent with close friends and I feel tired but also refreshed and happy from being around books, bloggers and authors to being around nature and away from the internet altogether! Now I’m back and ready to tell you all about my YALC weekend! If you haven’t read Sarah’s already, here it is.
YALC is over, my weekend wrap-up is done and it’s time for the book haul (aka, the part that i know we’re most excited for). I had the goal this year of not getting that many books, and specifically only picking up books that i was excited for or had been on my list for quite some time. I can happily say that i stuck to one of those promises.
