31635872524_2a249df8e3_bFor the past 12 days we have been doing a read-along of the BAME anthology, A Change is Gonna Come. It’s a wonderful book filled with short stories and poems by diverse authors, some well known, others slightly less known – all of which are amazing to now know of! As by now we have read the whole book, we are going to do a joint review of the book! Continue reading

31635872524_2a249df8e3_bIt’s day 9 of our read-along which means we only have four left including today’s! In case you’ve somehow missed it on our blog and twitter (where have you been?) we are doing a read-along blog tour of the BAME anthology, A Change is Gonna Come. A Change Is Gonna Come – Read-Along (Day 4)

It’s day 4 of our read-along blog tour! If you didn’t know, me and Sophie are hosting a read-along of A Change Is Gonna Come, a BAME anthology all about change. We’ve both been waiting to read this collection for a long time, and reading a story a day means we get to discuss everything together. Which is GREAT!

A Change Is Gonna Come – Read-Along (Day 1)

It’s the first day of our A Change Is Gonna Come read-along and blog tour! I’m so excited to start reading the stories with everyone and especially for some excellent blogs to join in on the fun! They’re an excuse for me and Sophie to read something together more than anything and get chance to talk about a book when we’re on exactly the same page. Especially with our last few, more and more people have joined in, and we have another one for you right now.

CHRISTMAS READ-ALONG UPDATE 3

We’re on to the last few days of our Christmas read-along now, and to be honest, i’ll be sad when it finishes. We’re on the 11th story out of 12 today, which is Star of Bethlehem by Ally Carter. So far we’ve read some of the festive stories by David Levithan, Gayle Forman and many more acclaimed authors. It’s definitely got me a little more in to the Christmas stories, and without a doubt has made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Christmas Read-Along Update 2!

christmas-read

I hope the readalong is going really well for everyone! We are now halfway through and today is number 7 of 12 stories! You can still join, we are halfway through which just means if you read two short stories a day you can catch up in no time. Or you can read them out of order (the joy of books of short stories!) Sarah gave her thoughts on the first two stories a few days ago and I will briefly review what I think of stories 3 to 6! Continue reading
