A while ago now i had the chance to sit down with Laura Wood as she released her first YA novel. Three novels in, i’m still completely in love with Laura’s writing and characters. October saw the release of her third YA novel, A Snowfall Of Silver, which i adored.
I was lucky enough to have a little Q&A with Laura about her new book and catch up on some topics we talked about a while ago.
We’ve officially made it to 800 posts on The Little Contemporary Corner and we thought we would celebrate by doing a little Q&A. We asked for questions on social media and received more than we anticipated! Thank you so much to everyone who sent us questions and thank you to everyone who supports our blog, whether you’ve read 1 blog post or 50, we appreciate you so much and it means a lot that people enjoy our content. Our good friend, blog designer and fellow U.K. book blogger, Lois, has sat down with us to answer some interview style questions. We love her designs for rebranding our blog, and we wanted to talk to her more about graphic design, and her process for designing. It’s been incredibly lovely to watch Lois grow as a designer, so keep reading for her process.
Camp is due to ‘come out’ this month in the U.K. and i luckily got the chance to ask Lev some questions about his new book. It’s been a while since our last interview, and i always find him a delight to talk to with really interesting answers to questions. Thank you hugely to Lev for answering some questions for us, and to Simon from Penguin for organising!
In February, we had the chance to interview the wonderful Laure Eve, author of The Graces, The Curses, The Illusionists and Fearsome Dreamer. It was a great interview and we had a lot of fun. We mainly asked about her writing process, since creative writing is something me and Sarah are really interested in and do ourselves. It’s always fascinating to hear about different authors’ writing processes and this was another insightful chat!
I was lucky enough this year to be involved with the release of Kate Mallinder’s Summer Of No Regrets, and was very kindly gifted a copy of the book from Firefly Publishing. I absolutely adored her debut novel (my full review is HERE), so wanted to get the chance to speak to Kate about her book and how she’s found the writing process!
Keep reading for my interview with Kate about everything summer, best friends and powering through writing!
A little while ago i was lucky enough to interview Simon James Green, author of Noah Can’t Even and Noah Could Never, and also L. C. Rosen (Lev), author of Jack Of Hearts (and Other Parts). It was one of the most wonderful interviews i’ve had the pleasure of holding. It was really interesting to talk to two fellow LGBTQ+ community members and their opinions of YA and where they think LGBTQ+ is going in YA. I absolutely loved doing this interview and i hope you enjoy reading it!
