I’ll give myself any excuse to buy books, and February’s was that my birthday is actually in February. I also wanted to stop doing regular book hauls (as of right now i’m on a ban anyway) so this is just an accumulation of the books that i got around the time of my birthday.

The last weekend in January was a really fun one for us, filled with loads of bookish things. A few months ago, we got invited to the Stripes EqualiTea event. The event was to promote Proud, their new LGBTQ+ anthology, along with some other exciting releases that Stripes have in store for us in 2019. The month started with Bookshop Day and ended with some exciting author events, a perfect excuse to make a few book purchases.

I said some time ago that i was aiming to be on a book buying ban for a while. YALC is a very big book buying experience, so i wanted to avoid buying books for a few months while i had chance to catch up on some reading. That clearly did not happen. I’d had this tripped to London planned for months, Hamilton was the main reason that i went, but my partner had never been in a Foyles or explored the book shops of London. So naturally we went to do just that.
