January finally brought another bloggers meeting to us in Manchester – and it was long awaited. I really love hanging out with all the bloggers for a few hours and finding out whichever publisher that hosts us is doing at the moment. It’s such a fun afternoon, and the day after the Stripes Equali-Tea event, i got another bookish day!

Stripes EqualiTea Event – A Very Bookish Weekend

The last weekend in January was a really fun one for us, filled with loads of bookish things. A few months ago, we got invited to the Stripes EqualiTea event. The event was to promote Proud, their new LGBTQ+ anthology, along with some other exciting releases that Stripes have in store for us in 2019. As soon as we got invited, we jumped on the chance to go. The following day, we also had our semi-regular meeting with the Manchester Bloggers group. It was an incredibly bookish weekend.

The Book Shop Series – Barter Books, Alnwick

I wanted to start a new series on here, an on going one that allows me to talk about wonderful bookshops that i’ve had the pleasure of visiting. I talk about them regularly anyway, so i might as well make it a thing. A few weeks ago now i took a trip to see my friend in Newcastle for a few days. This tends to happen every year now, in summer i visit her so we can have a beach day, wander around the city and do plenty of charity shop shopping. I absolutely adore this time away every year and it honestly feels like a holiday every time i go. This year i wanted to do a few different things.

Bookish Adventures

When my bookish friends come to stay, i always try and take them on some kind of bookish adventure. Whether that be a bookshop, a cute place to eat cake and drink tea or something else book related, it’s always about the books! My best friend, Shannan, over at Twenty Something And Day Dreaming came to stay with me a little while ago, so i obviously had to find something for us to do that was book based!
