As we’re all still technically in lockdown, i have officially been in the house for the whole of May. I thought this would help with my book buying habits, but it didn’t really. I’ve half been buying books because it helps me get through being at home, and half been strict with myself because i want to get some books from my backlist read.

A little while ago, one of my best friends Charlotte came to stay with us to celebrate Lois’ birthday. It was a weekend of friends, food and book shopping, including a little bit of paint a pot, and it was absolutely lovely. I picked up a couple of books that weekend so figured it was worth a small haul.

It’s Easter weekend, which means plenty of things including time off work, loads of chocolate and plenty of fun. My family have always been big on spending Easter weekend together, and this year has been no exception! On Easter Sunday me and my family took a trip to Buxton to do some book shopping.

However, i may have put some in the store cupboard at work for when it was over, and i also treated myself to a few Amazon purchases in the first hour after it ended. Along with that and being on holiday and some new releases, i’ve managed to acquire quite a few new books in the last month or so. I would by lying if i said i’d remember everything i got, so here’s a snippet of what’s joined my shelves recently.

I know that i said i would cut down on book buying, and i will (i promise), however i had another blogger friend stay a few days and we ended up book shopping, as imagined we would. So naturally i bought some books and i found some that have been on my book list for a very long time. This is obviously my justification. Here’s what i picked up!
