So, as usual, i think in my last haul i said i was going to stop buying books, and as usual, they didn’t happen did it. I had my birthday, and honestly when stuck inside during lockdown i’ve found i tend to just buy a lot of books! I didn’t need any of these, almost all were online buys (with the exception of ones i picked up on my weekly trip to the supermarket). I cannot wait to get back in to a real book shop.

Admittedly, this last few months i’ve excessively bought books, and because it’s been my birthday, i was also gifted some books. I’m excited to read all of these, but i know it might take me some time to do so. Here is the lengthy list of what i bought myself in the last six weeks or so:
Last One To Die by Cynthia Murphy
He Started It by Samantha Downing
Polite Society by Mahesh Rao
Body Language by A.K. Turner
The Sad Ghost Club by Lize Meddings
Adults by Emma Jane Unsworth
Lady In The Lake by Laura Lippman
Dear Edward by Ann Napolitano
Love After Love by Ingrid Persaud
The Disaster Tourist by Yun Ko-eun
Lore by Alexandra Bracken
House In The Cerulean Sea by T J Klune
The Gilded Ones by Forna Namina
Girl A by Abigail Dean
The Death Of Vivek Oji by Akwaeke Emiez
Can Everyone Please Calm Down? by Mae Martin
Ghosts of the Tsunami by Richard Lloyd Parry
Forever Ends on Friday by Justin Reynolds
Burn Our Bodies Down by Rory Power
Love, Creekwood by Becky Albertali
A Vow So Bold and Deadly by Brigid Kemmerer
Not Quiet Out by Louise Willingham
The Push by Ashley Audrain
Here The Whole Time by Victor Martins
How To Solve A Murder by Derek & Pauline Tremain
1984 by George Orwell
The Galaxy and The Ground Within by Becky Chambers
Horrid by Katrina Leno
I had some wonderful book gifts from my friends and family for my birthday too. Here are those:
84 Charing Cross Road by Helene Hanff
The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman
For my birthday my boyfriend also got me an 11 month subscription to Mr B’s Emporium, where they will send me a book each month tailored to what i enjoy!

And finally i have been lucky enough to get my hands on some anticipated books for review from publishers. I have received these in exchange for an honest review.
Malice by Heather Walter
The Conductors by Nicole Glover
The Wolf and the Woodsman by Ava Reid
Kate On The Case by Hannah Peck
Excuse Me While I Ugly Cry by Joya Goffney
Those are all the books that i’ve been lucky enough to aquire in the last few months. If there seems like a lot, it’s because there are a lot. And i know i have so much reading to get through. During lockdown, book buying has definitely become more of a habit than i would have liked it to become, so lets hope this is the start of a more relaxed book buying few months.

I’ve owned 1984 for far too long now and still haven’t got to it. Maybe one day…
