Post-Christmas Book Haul

I have been lucky enough after Christmas to have quite a bit of time and money to get myself some books. Obviously, it’s my favourite way to pass time, so i have done a little bit of book shopping since Christmas, and picked up some things i’m incredibly excited for.

After Christmas i always want to support some independant places and pick up whatever i feel like picking up. Between Christmas and New Year i found a lot of books that i’ve had a lot of interest in recently, so definitely couldn’t pass up grabbing them. Here’s what i grabbed from some wonderful independant businesses.

I Am A Hitman by Anonymous

The Invisible Life Of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab

Nala’s World by Dean Nicholson

Everyone Versus Racism by Patrick Hutchinson

Exciting Times by Naoise Dolan

Bridge by Bill Konigsberg

Good Girls Die First Kathryn Foxfield

Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin

Blood Moon by Lucy Cuthew

Such A Fun Age by Kiley Reid

Home Body by Rupi Kaur

On The Edge Of Gone by Corinne Duyvis

The Wall by John Lanchester

The Discomfort Of Evening by Marieke Lucas Rijneveld

Shuggie Bain by Douglas Stuart

Red At The Boneby Jacqueline Woodson

I have also been incredibly lucky to be sent a few books from Penguin in the last few weeks. These are Tales From The Hinterland by Melissa Albert & Lock The Doors by Vincent Ralph. I’m incredibly excited to get to these books and they were a great surprise to keep me entertained at the moment!

I’ve done my Christmas book haul and my after-Christmas book shop, i’m done for a while now. I’m making sure i save a lot of money this year, i don’t want to say that i’m on a book buying ban, but i’m taking a step back and reading what i have (trust me that’s too many anyway).

Did you pick up any books recently? And what do you recommend i start with from this list?
