Blogger Spotlight – LoisReadsBooks

Chat Header

We want to start a blogger spotlight on the blog, highlighting other bloggers that we absolutely love and people that we want to support more. Whether we really love their work, are inspired by them or really love them as a friend and feel like they need more recognition, we want to highlight what they’re doing and push them a little more with a segment on our blog.

So really, we want to shout about people we love on the blog a little bit more. One of those people who we really love and admire for their own blog work is LoisReadsBooks. We’ve both known Lois img_0296for quite a while now, about a year and a half, and we’ve been big fans of her blog since then.

Lois has an extremely chatty vibe to her blog posts which makes them so comfortable and easy to read. It really feels homely and we love reading her posts at the end of a long day. Lois writes about books, and occasionally writes about her life, trips away and wonderful round-ups about Disney. It’s really nice to follow a book blog that occasionally talks about other things, it feels like you’re not having the same content thrown at you all the time.

Along with being a wonderful blogger, Lois is a lovely human being. She is the most excitable person we know and can find something fun in everything. She’s a truly excellent friend and we are both so, so grateful to know her and have her in our lives!

We wanted to share some of our favourite posts of Lois’ so here they are:

My Feminist Icon – We both attended the DK Manchester bloggers event a little while ago (my post about that is HERE), and I absolutely adore the post Lois wrote afterwards. It’s very fitting to the idea and I really love the thought she put in to this post.

2019 Bullet Journal Set-Up – Lois is a really a really wonderful graphic designer, and we both really love the work that she does. This really transcends in to her bullet journal work and her set-ups. Again, it’s really nice to see other content on someones blog, and these posts definitely make us happy.

Question Time With Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera – One of my favourite things about Lois is her interview technique. She starts her interviews off with questions about the book her and the author are talking about, then leads on to some quick fire questions such as ‘what Hogwarts house are you in?’ – the truly important questions. One of our favourite interviews she has done was with Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera. We love these as a writing duo, and Lois’ questions were great. Definitely check out that post!

Make sure to check out LoisReadsBooks. She posts numerous times a week and there’s always new content to get stuck in to.

Do you have any bloggers you want to shout about? Let us know in the comments.

Fun Fact – Lois also created our new graphics for us! Is there anything she can’t do?
