Last week the first set of YALC authors were announced, which means my YALC TBR has officially started to take place. I wrote a post about the books that were now on my YALC TBR last week that you can see HERE if you want to know what i’ll be reading until July.
The second twenty authors were announced and it was also mentioned that there would be a few more announcements yet (which let’s face it, i’m dreading because i cannot read all the books all the time). The authors this time included Juno Dawson, Laura Dockrill, Gayle Forman and Holly Bourne.
It was actually a great group of authors to be announced and i’m really excited to hear a lot of these talk in panels about their books. Luckily for me the list of books that i still need to read from this list is somewhat smaller than the first. I have already read Juno’s latest release and Gayle Forman and Holly Bourne i am already familiar with their novels.
The books that i now have added to my TBR from the latest announcement are:
- Big Bones by Laura Dockrill
- Skylarks by Karen Gregory
- Flying Tips For Flightless Birds by Kelly McCaughrain
- Cuckoo by Keren David
There is a few less on this list than the first and honestly that’s a relief to me. I have a total of ten books so far that i want to read or be aware of before YALC this year. Luckily from my first list i have already finished Needlework by Deirdre Sullivan and i am part way through Editing Emma by Chloe Seager.
I feel like i’m slowly getting through the list so far, and i really want to get through at least one or two more before i go back to work in just under two weeks. I have quite a bit of time to read in the next few weeks and hopefully i can hammer out a load of these books. Luckily, especially in the last batch of authors announced, these are all books that i’ve wanted to read for a long time now and i’ve been excited for, so it shouldn’t be too much of a task to pick these up.
Let me know what’s on your YALC TBR’s in the comments.
