We’ve held quite a few read-along’s on this blog so far, Christmas, Halloween and ones just for fun. They’re an excuse for me and Sophie to read something together more than anything and get chance to talk about a book when we’re on exactly the same page. Especially with our last few, more and more people have joined in, and we have another one for you right now.
With the release of the anthology A Change Is Gonna Come last week, and proving how well received it’s been, it’s been on mine and Sophie’s TBR’s since we found out about the release. Now is the time that we are going to read it together.
Starting the 4th of September 2017, we will be reading a section/story a day from A Change Is Gonna Come, 12 sections, 12 days! That means that we will be finishing this book all together on the 15th of September.
Reading a section or story a day means that we can have so many good and healthy discussions about this book whilst reading, discussing our opinions and things we did/didn’t like about it. We worked the Christmas read-along last year in the same way, and it turned out pretty well and everyone involved really enjoyed it. It also creates a buzz around the book as so many bloggers are getting involved at the same time and blogging about it!
In case you didn’t know, A Change Is Gonna Come is an anthology of stories and poetry by BAME authors. These authors include Tanya Byrne, Ayisha Malik, Patrice Lawrence and a whole host of new faces to YA writing.
