Mini Book Haul

Book Haul Header

So i think i’ve taken to doing my book hauls in stages throughout the month when i have enough that make an interesting post. It seems pointless to do a end of the moth haul as i’ve started to get out of the habit of recording all my purchases recently. So in the month of June i finally got my University Graduate results! I was actually more than pleased with my end result and it meant i went on a little book shopping trip with two of my course mates on results day, we all definitely deserved a little splurge! Here are the books that i picked up…

This Savage Song by V.E. Schwab
I’ve heard endless good things about this novel recently. It is V.E. Schwab’s new YA release (after so long) that is based around a world in which monsters and people co-inhabit. I don’t know an awful lot about this novel but i’m very excited to get to read another V.E. Schwab book!

The Darkest Part Of The Forest by Holly Black
I’ve had my eye on this novel for SO LONG! It’s been hyped about online for a year or so now and that’s probably down to Holly Black’s incredible writing. The Darkest Part Of The Forest is the story of Ben and Hazel who come across a casket one day in the forest. What they find in there will open up a whole world of dark and dangerous things they shouldn’t have wished for. I’ve never read a Holly Black book, and i’m amazed it’s taken me so long to pick one up. I cannot wait to read this!

Dangerous Lies by Becca Fitzpatrick
Amoungts my haul of what seemed like would be fantasy books, i felt like i needed some contemporary thrillers to break it up. I still really enjoy contemporary novels and i’ve had my eye on this one for a while. All i know is it is about a girl who lives in a town in which no-one knows her, no-one can know her true identity because of what i imagine is something to do with her past. Who knows? We’ll see very soon.

Gracefully Grayson by Amy Polonsky
The final book that i picked up on this trip was Gracefully Grayson. I hadn’t heard of this ahead of seeing it in the shop, but i read the back and knew it was something i’d be interested in. Recently i’ve been content reading LGBTQ+ novels, and finding another book about a transgender teen made me intrigued to read more. I will be getting to this one very soon i imagine!
