At the end of 2015 the online book world literally went crazy as tickets for the stage play of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child went on sale. Luckily myself and Sophie managed to secure tickets (we’re not going together though, boooo) and our Harry Potter elation was at an all-time high. Today however I’m sure everyone’s heard that the script of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is being released as a book on Harry’s birthday this year along with a collectors edition to follow on later! Such excitement, much happy!
Harry Potter is a big part of everyone’s lives in our generation I think, almost everyone has been touched or effected by this magical world we’ve grown up with. When The Cursed Child was announced it was like a blast from the childhood for so many people who wanted the story to live on. Me included. Now that this book is due to be released in July I don’t think I can wait to read it!
However, my date for The Cursed Child isn’t until November, having pre-ordered the book how am I supposed to wait 4 whole months to find out the story!? I think the majority of us are now thinking along the lines of ‘how can I put off reading it for so long?’ or ‘do I really want to spoil it for myself?’
I HAVE NO IDEA!
Luckily there’s a few months yet until the book is released and I can make my final decisions on whether I want to read the script before actually seeing the stage show. Maybe I can learn it all and spend the whole show mouthing along to the actors, I imagine I won’t be the only person! It truly is a moral dilemma of the twenty first century and the most stressful decision I’ve had to make in a long time!
Then again, when Harry Potter is concerned is there really a bad choice?
