It’s officially the last day of the Halloween read-along tomorrow! That means I’ve got left just a mere twenty-four hours to finish Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children! Am I going to do it? To be honest I’m not entirely sure. I’ve had a lot of Uni work in the last week and a lot of other things going on that I’ve not had much time to read! I need a full afternoon free so I can just lay in my bed and get my head stuck in the book! But I will definitely do my best to get it finished up before tomorrow night!
I’m on page 247 at the moment and it’s just started to get INCREDIBLE! At the end of the last chapter I gasped, put the book down and text one of my friends to talk about it right away (she has read the book, there were no spoilers involved.) I feel like there’s still so much buried deep in to this novel that I’m excited to uncover!
I’m still a little shocked that this is Riggs’ first novel. The story itself is so in depth and well written I would have thought it would have been an experienced author’s work if I didn’t know any better! The twists that he’s put in all the way through have been shocking each time and actually believable as much as they could be anyway.
