Being a Uni student it means I have an extortionate amount of time off in the summer. Unlike the rest of my peers who spend these months having a social life, I become a hermit and read. This summer I’ve managed to read a total of nine books at the time of writing this. The books that I’ve managed to read so far this summer are:
The Spectacular Now by Tim Tharp
All I Know Now by Carrie Hope Fletcher
Girl Interrupted by Susanna Kaysen
The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
Dream a Little Dream by Giovanna Fletcher
To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before and P.S I Still Love You by Jenny Han
Another Day by David Levithan
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe
Whereas I am pleased with a total of nine books read in a two and a half month period, I am somewhat regretting the time when I ‘couldn’t be arsed’ to read or I would ‘get to it later.’ Now that summer is ending and Uni is only weeks away from me I’m starting to realise that I won’t get all the books I wanted to read this summer read.
I am a slow reader, so the fifty books I was excited to read at the start of May was a little over adventurous i have to admit. However I’m focusing on these few weeks I have left to get as much read as I possibly can! I have compiled a TBR list for my remaining time off this summer that I hopefully can get around to finishing the list and reviewing everything!
The books that I want to get around to before the 28th of September are:
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
Night Owls by Jenn Bennett
The Wicked and The Devine by Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie (graphic novel)
Lord Of The Flies by William Golding
This TBR list isn’t huge, which means hopefully i’ll be able to get round to all of these books before i start Uni and work again at the end of September!
